The Leadership Team

Pastors

Marcus Abbott

Marcus is the lead Pastor at Living Well Church in Whitfield. He has been attending this Church since he was a few days old and it has always been a huge part of his life.

The Church has grown significantly in the last few years and it now regularly has over 100 people attending each Sunday. Marcus' vision is that we will continue to be a growing group of believers that is impacting our community - as a Church but also as individuals. We want to see the kingdom of God growing and transforming people’s lives in the name of Jesus.

It concerns him that many people today see the Church as irrelevant or not for them – somehow it has become disconnected from their day to day lives – yet many people still say they believe in God. His desire is that Church once again becomes accessible and relevant - at the centre of our community.

Family is also massively important to Marcus, he has been married to Sue since 1987 and they have two children - Luke and Emily – who are both still part of the Church. He is sports mad and loves watching F1, rugby, tennis and football (which he still plays). He also loves to walk and ski (when time and funds permit) and travel.

Marcus considers himself blessed to be given the opportunity to lead The Living Well Church at this exciting time.
